Do you feel like you’re stuck?

Something just isn’t right. You can’t get out of the funk or you don’t know where to turn next. I believe that counseling provides the relationship and safe space for a person to explore his or her life and take back control! As humans, we all struggle and sometimes we need support as we navigate through life.

Together, we can work on identifying how to get you back in the driver's seat. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I will walk with you as we work together to develop behavior and lifestyle changes to help you take back control of your life. We will work to find solutions that will last long-term and make the most effective change.

I specialize in working with teen to middle-aged women dealing with self-esteem and relationship issues, as well as adults and teens dealing with relationship issues, setting boundaries, and family issues. It is important to remember that this is your experience! I would be honored to walk through it with you. Katie

In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Ivy.

I love to travel, go to auctions and flea markets, try new food, and see live music. I have lived in Illinois all of my life and am originally from a tiny town of 200 people.

Peoria is my home and I love being involved in the community!

Are you ready to take the next step?

My goal is to create a warm, safe, and open therapeutic space for you to bring any emotion you may be feeling to therapy. I provide a client centered approach, meaning I offer empathetic understanding to those I work with. I also believe in utilizing a strengths-based approach to instill a sense of purpose and happiness.

I view therapy as a collaborative experience as I walk alongside you through difficult seasons of life.

I have training and experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, grief, low self-esteem, and life transitions.   Many of my past clients have experienced childhood trauma.  In my time working in the field, I have found working with 15-year-olds through young adulthood to be an area of passion.

It can feel scary to allow someone into your deepest vulnerabilities.  Deciding to start therapy is brave, I would be honored to collaborate with you! Alyssa
